The European Commission funded FOSTER-RAIL project – which ran from 1 May 2013 until 31 April 2016 – was implemented in order to support the work of the European Rail Research Advisory Council (ERRAC). It addressed the challenge to strengthen and support research and innovation and to enhance the coordination among main stakeholders and actors on the European level as well as between the European and national levels.
